Thomas Dunne (Lord Lieutenant)

Sir Thomas Raymond Dunne KG KCVO ( born October 24, 1933) since 1 April 1996, the incumbent Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire. He is the son of a soldier and politician Philip Russell Rendel Dunne and the father of the members of the Conservative Party Philip Martin Dunne.

In 1977, he was first appointed as joint Lord Lieutenant of Hereford and Worcester. After Hereford and Worcester were separated again in 1998, he became both Lord Lieutenant of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. On 31 July 2001, he resigned from his position in Worcestershire back. He is also chairman of the Association of the Lord Lieutenant.

In 1995 he was awarded the Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order and has since been authorized to use the title Sir before the given name. 2008 he was inducted into the Order of the Garter.
