Thomas Herbst ( born October 5, 1962) is a German former football player and current coach.

Career as a player

Clubs

Autumn was a 19 - year-old in the 1981/82 season on the squad of Bundesliga Bayern Munich. His only two games he played on 21 and 29 May 1982 ( 33./34 game day. ) - Total Time: 35 minutes - in a 3-2 home win over Arminia Bielefeld (from 61 minutes for Karl DEL'HAYE ) and in the 1-3 defeat at VfL Bochum (from 84 minutes for Dieter Hoeness ).

In the following season - now eligible to play for Eintracht Braunschweig - he came to 17 inserts and also to three goals. On March 22, 1983 ( 24th Round ) scored his team at FC Schalke 04 a 3-3 draw, where he contributed two goals.

From 1983 until 1988 - interrupted by the year intermezzo at SV Darmstadt 98 in the 2nd Bundesliga 1986/87 - he played 65 times for Borussia Mönchengladbach. For Borussia played autumn also six times in the DFB and nine times in the UEFA Cup competition; in international competition get him three goals.

National

No 17 years old, Autumn debuted on May 9, 1979 in Trossingen in a 1-0 victory for the B1 Junior Selection ( U- 16) over that of Switzerland. At the 5th Nordland tournament in Sweden, he played on 8 and 9 August 1979 ( 1-0 against Finland and 2-2 against Norway) again for this selection. 4 September 1980 ( 3:5 against Hungary, in Poreč ) until June 3, 1981 ( 1-0 against Poland, in Dusseldorf ), he played 16 games for the A- juniors - selection (U -18), scored with eight hits an excellent strike rate and was crowned in his last game in the national team for the European Junior Champion. When discharged for the third time Junior World Championship 1981 in Sydney, he played from October 3 to 18, all six games and won the last game in the U-19 national team, the final match (4-0 against Qatar), the title the Junior World champion. Career as a coach

After his first coaching activities at Hertha Zehlendorf 03, Türkiyemspor Berlin and Berlin Ankaraspor Kulübü 07 supervised autumn 2008-2010 Tennis Borussia Berlin. Since 2010, he coached the team the BFC Viktoria 1889, with whom he was Berlin Master in the first year and rose to the fifth rate Oberliga Nordost.
