Thomas J. Paprocki

Thomas John Joseph Paprocki (* August 5, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) is Bishop of Springfield in Illinois.

Life

The Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal John Patrick Cody, ordained him a priest on May 10, 1978.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 24 January 2003 as Titular Bishop of Vulturaria and auxiliary bishop in Chicago. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Chicago, Francis Eugene Cardinal George, OMI, on 19 March of the same year; Ricardo Watty Urquidi were co-consecrators Manuel MSPs, Bishop of Nuevo Laredo, and Raymond Emil Goedert, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago.

On 20 April 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Bishop of Springfield in Illinois. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on 22 June of the same year.
