Thomas Joseph Shahan

Thomas Joseph Shahan ( born September 11, 1857 in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA, † March 9, 1932 ) was Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore.

Life

Thomas Joseph Shahan received on 3 June 1882, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On July 24, 1914, Pope Pius X appointed titular bishop of Germanicopolis and appointed him as Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore. The Archbishop of Baltimore, James Cardinal Gibbons, gave him on 15 November of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Richmond, Denis Joseph O'Connell, and the Bishop of Hartford, John Joseph Nilan.
