Thomas Parits

Thomas Parits ( born October 7, 1946, in victory village, Austria ) is a former Austrian football player and coach.

Life

He completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith, and already played his first game in 1964 for Austria Wien. Brought by coach Ernst Ocwirk at the beginning of the 1970/71 season by Austria to the first FC Cologne, he left the club a year later, again in the direction of Eintracht Frankfurt. There he played until 1974, and played a total of 103 Bundesliga games in which he scored 23 goals. Last year he won the German Cup with concord. After his time in the Bundesliga he played for the Spanish club Granada CF, again for Austria Vienna ( 1977-79 ) and finished his playing career finally at VOEST Linz.

In 258 games competition for Austria Wien Parits scored 100 goals.

As a coach, he worked for the SC Neusiedl am See, Austria Vienna ( Austrian champion 1985), VSE St. Pölten and Admira Wacker.

Parits played 27 times in the Austrian national team. He is married and has two daughters (Tina and Petra ).

Since October 20, 2006 Thomas Parits is for the traditional Viennese club Austria Wien, first as General Manager and after the spin-off of professional gaming operation in a joint stock company, active as a board for sporting interests.
