Thomas Scheuring

Thomas Scheuring ( born December 13, 1981 in Göppingen ) is a German football player.

Career

Scheuring played in his youth for the TSGV Albershausen, later for VfB Stuttgart. Until 2003, he played for AC Catania Kirchheim, for the season 2003/ 04 he joined the federation league team VfL Kirchheim / Teck. On 31 August 2003 he played with the club in the first round of the DFB Cup against Hannover 96 ( 0:3 win for Hannover). From 2004 he was active for the SSV Reutlingen, first from 2004 to 2006 in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg, and then from 2006 to 2008 in the then third-tier Regionalliga Süd. For the season 2008/ 09 he moved to the Cypriot first division club Omonia Nicosia.

After only one year in Cyprus changed Scheuring 2009 but returned to Germany to VfR Aalen, which was relegated from the Third Division and put together a down to three players all-new team for the new season in the now fourth division Regionalliga Süd. Scheuring was a regular player and reached with the club direct promotion back to the Second Division and the victory of WFV Cup, which entitles to participate in the first round of the DFB Cup.

His professional debut in Germany gave Scheuring on the opening day of the new league season third on 24 July 2010 the 3-0 away defeat to second division relegated Hansa Rostock. In May 2011, failed negotiations on an extension of the expiring contract, Scheuring then left the club and joined the SV Waldhof Mannheim, who had previously been promoted to the Regionalliga Süd, to where his contract was not renewed after one season.

Scheuring retired from the professional sports and was initially for six months without a club, before the Association division SV Göppingen joined in the spring of 2013. In the summer of 2013, he refused for professional reasons an offer for a return to SSV Reutlingen and moved instead to the national division club SV Ebersbach.
