Thomas Ziegler (cyclist)

Thomas Ziegler (born 24 November 1980 as Arnstadt near Erfurt ) is a retired German racing cyclist, mountain bikers and current triathlete.

Life

Ziegler started cycling in 1993 as mountain bikers. As a member of the junior mountain bike team in 1997, he attended the sports high school in Erfurt, and thus began road racing. As the driver of the German road cycling national team he won the 1998 mountains classification of the Trofeo Karlberg. In 2000 he started for the team TEAG Köstritzer and in 2002 the team Wiesenhof professional cyclist. After a year at Wiesenhof he moved to Team Gerolsteiner, where he had a contract until the end of the 2005 season. For the 2006 season the team moved Ziegler T -Mobile. Thomas Ziegler finished the end of the 2007 season, his career as a professional cyclist.

Since February 2008, Ziegler operates together with Grisha Niermann and Roman Jördens the cycling business Saikls in Hanover and in 2008 was the first time also worked as sporting director at the Night of Hanover. Thomas Ziegler launched in 2010 for the first time at the Ironman Triathlon Ironman Germany (Frankfurt am Main) and Challenge Roth.
