Thor Halvorssen Mendoza

Thor Halvorssen Leonardo Mendoza (born 1976 ), usually just called Thor Halvorssen, is a Norwegian- Venezuelan human rights activist and film producer.

Halvorssen is the founder of the Oslo Freedom Forum, an annual meeting, which was described by the Economist as a " spectacular human rights festival ... on the way a human rights equivalent of the Davos economic forum to be ". Halvorssen is president of the Human Rights Foundation. He is the patron of Czech children's peace movement " On Own Feet ". He is also the founder of the Moving Picture Institute. In May 2010, he bought the Norwegian news magazine Ny Tid, further, he is a columnist for the Huffington Post.
