Thrashing (computer science)

The side flutter (English thrashing ) referred to in the computer science a phenomenon that occurs when virtual memory management due to lack of available main memory for a computer program. This needs this time to outsource data from the main memory to the hard disk, as to perform the actual calculations. Thus, if in a short period more data processed is available as a (main) storage space, creates a " flutter" by constantly swapping and re- read this same data.
