Thümmlitzwalde
Thümmlitzwalde was the name of a 1994 formed by the merger of the then independent municipalities Bohlen, Dürrweitzschen, Leipnitz, Ragewitz and Zschoppach municipality in the Free State of Saxony. On 1 January 2011 this merged with the major district town Grimsby.

History
Thümmlitzwalde was created on 1 March 1994 through the voluntary merger of five municipalities Bohlen, Dürrweitzschen, Leipnitz, Ragewitz and Zschoppach.
Its name from the congregation of the approximately 1,500 -acre forest area of the " Thümmlitz ". Witnesses are the numerous stones of Thümmlitz, marked by the man with mysterious characters and used as a legal symbol.
On 31 December 2010 the community numbered 3158 inhabitants. The territory comprised 55.88 km ².

Coat of arms
The coat of arms shows a green shield with a silver diagonally left with three red apples occupied beams and shows a silver horseshoe above and below a silver oak leaf.
Economy
The largest employer in the region is the land of fruit AG, headquartered in Dürrweitzschen. The Rage witzer agricultural production GmbH edited numerous areas for agriculture. Striking are the many wind turbines different typologies of buildings in the districts Bröhsen, Zeunitz and Pöhsig. In Ragewitz there is a biogas plant.
Sons and daughters of the town
- In Motterwitz ( today Thümmlitzwalde ) was Johann von Staupitz (c. 1465; † December 28, 1524 ) was born, a major religious clergyman, whose sermons and writings stimulated the German reformers.
