The Thunebach ( headwaters: Schlänger Bach, underflow: Jordan ) is a 6.7 km long, orographic right tributary of the lip in the North Rhine -Westphalia Bad Lippspringe, Germany.

Geography

Course

The river has its origin at a bifurcation in the north of snakes. At an altitude of 174 m above sea level. NN is delivered there by the water in the Strothe Schlänger Bach. Last then flows in a southerly direction by snakes. In Good Dedinghausen the stream changes its name and is now called Thunebach. Here the term applies to the southwest, and reaches the eastern edge of Bad Lippspringe. A short time later the brook flows through the Jordan Park. Here the Thunebach the springs from the source of the Jordan Jordan flows to and accepts this name for the section to the mouth of the lip.

About 900 meters after the source of the Jordan River divides into two arms. The effluent flows to the left arm after about 100 meters in the lip, the main arm still flows approximately 1.5 km parallel to the lip on, until this opens even in the city of Bad Lippspringe in the lip.

The creek overcomes on its 6.7 km long stretch of river a height difference of 43 m, corresponding to an average bed slope of 6.4 ‰. The 17.552 km ² large catchment area is drained by Lippe and Rhine to the North Sea through.

Jordan source

The source of the Jordan is located about 500 meters above the lip source where springs from a karstic spring of Jordan. The beds of the two source outlets are heavily dependent on rainfall and can almost run dry in hot summers even. The effluent Jordan united after a few meters with the coming of the East Thunebach, which takes its name.
