Tianjin Airlines

Tianjin Airlines is a regional airline in the People's Republic of China, located in Tianjin. It was founded in 2007 as Grand China Express Air and performs within the country since May of the same year, passenger and cargo scheduled flights. Tianjin Airlines is 80 % of the HNA Group and 20% by Hainan Airlines.

History

' Grand China Express Air' emerged from the amalgamation of the regional fleets of companies Hainan Airlines, China Xinhua Airlines, Chang'an Airlines and Shanxi Airlines. In 2007 she received the approval by the Civil Aviation Administration of China. Flight operations began in May 2007 with 29 Dornier 328-300, which were acquired by Hainan Airlines. So it was from the beginning the largest regional airline in China in 2008 and served 78 routes to 54 cities in China. On 10 June 2009, the airline was renamed by the HNA Group in Tianjin Airlines. It intends to expand its flight network by 2012 to 450 routes to 90 cities.
