The Tjasmyn (Ukrainian Тясмин, Russian Тясмин ( Tjasmin ) ) is a right tributary of the Dnieper River with a length of 161 km and a catchment area of ​​4540 km ² (according to other sources 4570 km ²). It rises to the north of the central part of the Dneprhochlands in the central Ukrainian Oblast Kirovohrad. From there, it flows through the Cherkassy Oblast, where he eventually empties into the Krementschuker reservoir. The river is in its middle reaches of a river knee, in which he changed his course to 180 °. This source and mouth are only 33 km apart. The width of the river valley varies between one and four kilometers, while the river reaches a width of up to 20 m. The flow regime is nival.

In the lower reaches are located near the village of Subotiw important sites of the Belogrudovka / Cernoles culture. These provide for archaeologists a key point for the Late Bronze Age and their transformation to the early Iron Age dar.

Larger towns on the river Tjasmyn are Kamianka, Smila and Tschyhyryn. Was at the mouth of the Dnieper as far as the construction of the dam, the city Nowogeorgijiwsk.
