Tibor Kozma

Tibor Kozma ( born August 14, 1909 in Budapest, † 24 March 1976) was an American conductor of Hungarian origin.

Kozma studied until 1931 at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest and until 1933 at the Orchestra School of the Staatskapelle Dresden. In 1941 he went to New York, where he worked on numerous Broadway productions and a sought-after accompanist was. From 1948 to 1957 he was conductor at the Metropolitan Opera. In 1957 he became a professor at the Indiana University Bloomington Indiana University and conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra.
