Till Gerhard

Till Gerhard (born 1971 in Hamburg) is a German artist who lives and works in Hamburg.

Life and work

Till Gerhard was born in Hamburg. After graduating from the school Stormarn in Ahrensburg he studied 1992-93 at the Muthesius Art College in Kiel and at the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg ( Department of Design Professor Dieter glass maker) ( 1993-98 ).

Gerhard paints large area on canvas, often rural views, but with restless atmosphere. It distributes the colors fine, but also sets broad brush strokes one, to blobs and color blurring. Among his better-known exhibitions heard Without us they had concrete ( SKAMraum, Hamburg), nerdism in the armory of Hamburg and one day, one room, a picture in Mannheim. Gerhard presented at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art from the Hamburg Kunsthalle, at Arndt & Partner in Zurich and at the Stellan Holm Gallery in New York and several times in the stables in Ahrensburg.
