Tilleda ( Kyffhaeuser ) is a district of the city Kelbra ( Kyffhaeuser ) in the district of Mansfeld- South Harz in Saxony- Anhalt.

Location

Tilleda is located in the Golden Meadows right on the northern edge of the Kyffhaeuser Mountains.

History

At the beginning of the 9th century Tilleda was built in a directory of the Patrimony of the Archbishop Lull († 786) of Mainz Hersfeld Monastery mentioned as Dullide documented.

On 1 July 2009, the municipality Tilleda ( Kyffhaeuser ) gave up its independence and was in the city Kelbra ( Kyffhaeuser ) incorporated. Last mayor was Manfred Tettenborn.

Attractions

  • Open-air museum Tilleda, Ottonian palace complex, archaeological excavations by Paul Grimm have provided a multi-part system with a utilized by craftsmen bailey. Today, the open air museum some of the excavated buildings reconstructed.
  • Salvator Church ( Protestant), a Romanesque- Gothic town church with partial baroque interior and Renaissance epitaphs. Around the church are grouped small houses that form a circle enclosing a church garden.
  • Kyffhäuserdenkmal above Tilleda in the Thuringian part of the Kyffhaeuser Mountains.
