Tillig

The TILLIG Model Railways GmbH & Co. KG is since 1991 a German manufacturer of model railways. The specialized models of nominal size TT company is the largest supplier in this market segment and has an extensive assortment. In addition, models of nominal size H0 are produced. The company is based in Saxony Sebnitz.

History

In 1991, Hans -Jurgen Tillig, based in the company Sebnitz Mushroom Model Railway, which produced up to that point only flexible and prototypical track for the nominal size H0. To extend the range, they developed a model for the nominal track size TT. In parallel, founded Hans -Jürgen Tillig the company Mattra for the production of locomotives and cars. In the late 1990s there was a distribution partnership with the manufacturer Roco. 2000 took over to the fellow competitors JATT. The production of the former JATT models were delivered to the partner company model train manufacturer Sebnitz 2004. In 2001 Tillig took over the distribution rights and the assortment of the company Sachsenmodelle, an insolvent Zittau manufacturer of H0 rolling stock. This Tillig could establish another foothold in the market.

In June 2009, HJ Tillig moved for health reasons from the company in which he was one of three managers.
