Tim Brown (figure skater)

Timothy Tuttle " Tim " Brown ( born July 24, 1938 in Loup City, Nebraska, † 1989) was an American figure skater, who started in a single run internationally.

He was 1957 and 1958 Vice World Champion behind his compatriot David Jenkins and won bronze in 1959. In the 1960 Olympics he finished fifth. In 1961, he should participate in the World Cup, but had to cancel because of a flu, and thus escaped death flight of the U.S. team, which led to the cancellation of the World Cup later.

Brown also denied in ice dancing competitions with his Eistanzpartnerin Susan Sebo. They finished second at the U.S. Championships in 1958.

After his resignation, he studied zoology and later medicine. Tim Brown died in 1989 of AIDS.
