Tim Cross

Tim Cross, CBE ( born 1951 ) is a retired Major General the British Army.

Life

Tim Cross appeared in 1971 in the service of the British forces a. In the 1970s he served as a technical officer ammunition ( Ammunition Technical Officer ) in Northern Ireland. In the 1980s, he was in the scope of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus in Cyprus. In 1998 he became a member of the leadership of the General Staff Academy and took over the management of the 1st Artillery Battalion. During the Second Gulf War he served in the British Operation Granby as a supply officer ( Commander Supply) of the 1st Armoured Division.

In May 1993, he was promoted to colonel ( Colonel) and became head of logistics for the 3rd Division of the British Army. In February 1996 he was promoted to brigadier.

In December 1997, he became commander of the 101st Logistics Brigade and was responsible for the British part of logistics as part of SFOR. IN January 1999, the 101st Logistics Brigade was moved to Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo, and Tim Cross was for the Joint Force Logistic Component ( JFLogC ) as part of KFOR responsible.
