Tim Gallagher

Tim Gallagher is an American wildlife photographer, editor and non-fiction author. Since 1990 he has been editor in chief of Living Bird of the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology.

On 27 February 2004 he discovered in Arkansas held the already extinct Ivory woodpecker again, which he describes in his book " The Grail Bird". This was preceded by several trips to the areas where the ivory woodpecker had been seen, and interviews with people who had seen the bird.

Tim Gallagher is a professional wildlife photographer, his training as a journalist, he graduated with a BA at California State University. At the same university, he received his master's degree in English.
