Tim Weiner

Tim Weiner ( born June 20, 1956) is an American journalist. He writes for The New York Times.

Short CV

He is considered one of the most knowledgeable experts on the American intelligence systems. For his reporting and his coverage of the secret " National Security Program " that the CIA had called together with the Pentagon secretly into life, he was awarded two Pulitzer Prizes. He revealed in 1988 as a reporter of " The Philadelphia Inquirer " an investigator Reptiles Fund, the parliamentary control and weapons confiscated weapons research spending by the U.S. government.

He told a correspondent inter alia from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan and fifteen other States where he researched and CIA operations. For his book on the CIA, he was awarded the 2007 National Book Award for nonfiction and the Los Angeles Times Book Award for History.
