Timation

Timation was a navigation satellite program of the United States Naval Research Laboratory.

The four satellites were launched from 1967 to 1977. Sent you an accurate time signal that has been evaluated on the ground for navigation purposes. Timation (later called Satellite Navigation Technology ) was used to test the GPS technology, which is no longer based on the Doppler effect.
