Timmy Dooley

Timmy Dooley ( born February 13, 1969 at County Clare ) is an Irish politician ( Fianna Fáil ) and, since 1997 deputy in Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Dooley attended the Mountshannon National School and the Scariff Community College in County Clare. Prior to his political career, he worked as a businessman in the areas of Sales and Marketing for IT companies and publishing companies. In 2002 he was elected to Seanad Éireann in the 22th and this was one until 2007. However Dooley resigned after his election to the 30th Dáil Éireann, as is usual in such a case, dropping out of the Senate from. For the election of the 31st Dáil Éireann, he joined again in the constituency of Clare and was able to defend his seat.
