Timo Heinze ( born February 23, 1986 in Rosenheim ) is a former German football player.

Career

Clubs

In his youth, played the defender at SV Westerndorf and TSV 1860 Rosenheim. In 1998 he moved to FC Bayern Munich, went through all the youth teams and was accepted on 1 July 2004 in the amateur team of Munich. For this he made his debut in the Regionalliga Süd on 14 September 2004 (6th Round ) in a 4-2 victory in the home match against TSV 1860 Munich. His professional debut was in 2008 on July 27 (1st Round ) 2-1 victory at home to 1.FC Union Berlin in the newly created 3rd league. Heinze played 47 Regional and 32 non- league games and was the end of his time at Bayern captain of the second team. The greatest performance of his career he had when he came on towards the end of the farewell game of Oliver Kahn between Bayern and the German national team for about seven minutes on 2 September 2008.

After moving to local rivals SpVgg Unterhaching he played five more games and then was out of contract. In the 2011/12 season Heinze graduated eight league games for the SC Fortuna Köln in the Regionalliga West.

National

His debut in the national jersey he gave on 21 August 2001 in Parchim 4-1 victory for the U- 16 national team on the selection of Denmark. It was followed by nine stakes in this selection team eight times before he came five times between 2002 and 2003 for the U -17 and between 2004 and 2005 for the U-19 national team for the use.

After his time as a footballer Heinze moved to Cologne in 2010, where he studied at the German Sport University.

Heinze processed the end of his sporting career his book " injury time - An unfinished football career." In it, he reflected, during a trip through Bali, his checkered career. The book provides a glimpse behind the scenes of the football business from the perspective of a player who has the big breakthrough ultimately failed. " Stoppage time " was a huge success and stayed for weeks in the German bestseller lists.
