Timrå

Timrå is an industrial town in the Swedish province Västernorrland County and the historic Medelpad.

Timrå located eleven kilometers north of Sundsvall at the mouth of Indalsälven in the Gulf of Bothnia, and is the capital of the municipality of the same name. To the northeast of the town is the airport Midlanda (Sundsvall - Härnösand ).

The place Timrå has grown together in recent decades with the city of Sundsvall and today has almost the character of a suburb.

Timrå is known for its hockey club Timrå IK, who plays in the first division.
