Timur Vermes

Timur Vermes (born 1967 in Nuremberg, Germany) is a German journalist and author.

Career

Vermes was born in Nuremberg in 1967. His father was after the suppression of the popular uprising fled from Hungary in 1956. After high school he studied in Erlangen history and politics. Since then he has worked as a journalist for tabloids like the Munich newspaper or the Cologne Express, and various magazines.
