Tina Thompson
Tina Marie Thompson ( born February 10, 1975 in Los Angeles, California, United States) is a professional basketball player. In 2012 she plays for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association at the power forward position.
Career
College
Tina Thompson played in 1997 for a short time for the women's basketball team at the University of California.
Women's National Basketball Association
In 1997, she was selected in the WNBA Draft in the first place by the Houston Comets. So she was also a member of the legendary Comets team that won four times from 1997 to 2000 WNBA Championship.
Thompson scored the second most points of all WNBA players after Lisa Leslie until now.
Internationally
Cooper took the U.S. women's basketball team in the Basketball World Championship 2006 in Brazil the bronze medal.
In 2008 she won the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Beijing with the U.S. national basketball team.
