Tindisch is the language of the inhabitants of Tindi. It is of about 5-6,000 people in several classrooms ( villages ) of Rajons Zumada spoken in the western mountain Dagestan near Chechnya and Georgia: in Tindi, Angida, Aknada, Etscheda and Tissi.

There is no self-designation of the speakers for their language; the inhabitants call themselves after their respective Aul. The Tindisch Speakers are all bilingual and dominate next Tindisch also Avar. It has been prepared on the basis of the Cyrillic alphabet a.
