Production and representation
Tin ( II) bromide may be obtained by reaction of hydrobromic acid with tin.
Properties
Tin ( II) bromide is a yellow slightly hygroscopic and sensitive to light solid which is soluble in water with partial decomposition. It has a crystal structure of the lead (II ) chloride - type. Upon heating in air partially passes oxidation to tin ( IV) compounds. With halides it forms halogen complexes.
