Tintane

Tintane, الطينطان, is the largest city of the administrative unit Hodh El Gharbi in the south of the West African state of Mauritania. For the city's population were until 2000 no information, however, it rose steadily. 2005 the city's population was estimated at 16,067. It was thus in 2005 on the list of largest cities of Mauritania on the position 28 and was the largest city in Hodh El Gharbi, even before the capital Ayoûn el- Atroûs.
