Tiquipaya Municipality

The municipality Tiquipaya is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

The municipality Tiquipaya is one of five Municipalities of the province Quillacollo. It is bordered to the west by the municipality of Quillacollo, to the south by the municipality of Colcapirhua, in the southeast of the province of Cercado, and to the east and north by the province of Chapare.

Geography

The municipality Tiquipaya is in the transition zone between the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.
