Tiruvallur (Tamil: திருவள்ளூர் Tiruvallur [ t̪iɾɯ ˌ ː u ː r ʋaɭ ], also: Thiruvallur ) is a city in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu with around 56,000 inhabitants ( 2011 census ). The city is the administrative center of the district of Tiruvallur.
