The settlement dates back to the final stages of culture in the 5th to the 3rd century BC and is located in Lanaittu valley in the desert east of Oliena Dorgali between high karst mountains under the overhanging walls of the collapsed sinkhole Sat Curtigia de Tiscali ( Green Country in rocky desert ).

About 40 cabins, some rectangular, many round, formed the Clinging to the cliff village. Of the cottages only the ruins remain. Whether it is a refuge castle, a mountain sanctuary, a permanent settlement or something else entirely, is unclear. Due to the hut remains is to assume that there at least temporarily up to 200 people lived. However, it is still unclear the water supply, because in the neighborhood there are no sources. Probably the place until the early Middle Ages of meaning, which suggest finds from this period.
