Tisová (Tachov District)

Tisova ( German Tissa ) is a municipality with 471 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 7 km southeast of Tachov at an altitude of 501 m asl and belongs to the Okres Tachov.

History

The first mention of the town dates from 1233. The village belonged until 1848 to the rule Tachau. Tissa had with the St. Nicholas Church own parish church. 1939 300 people lived in the place.

To January 1, 1980 Tisova was incorporated into Staré Sedliště. Since November 24, 1990 there is a separate municipality again.
