Geographical Location
Tiszaújváros located 35 kilometers southeast of the county seat Miskolc on the west bank of the Tisza.
Name
Until 1970 the town was named Tiszaszederkény, the 100th anniversary of Lenin on 22 April 1970, she was renamed Leninváros. It derives its present name since February 1, 1991.
