The Titan creek is a tributary of the Selke in the Lower Harz in Saxony- Anhalt. It is situated entirely in the forest.

A footpath, the Annenweg, largely follows the course of the stream.

Course

The Titan brook springs from a common Quellarm with a leash, near the Kings Roder road within the city limits of Harzgerode. More water is supplied from a variety of sources in the following common headwaters of titanium Bach, Schiebeck Bach, linen and a tributary Schwenningen corner. Water comes here from the areas of Strenzelberg, Small Sauersberg and Zimmerberg. The source area is located in the forest in the triangle of Harzgerode, Pansfelde and Castle Falkenstein. In this case, fill the rather flowing northbound source arms Titan Bach, the westward the Schiebeck Bach and the south and east leash or Schwenningen corner. The individual source arms arise sometimes only a few meters from each other. The Friedericke road between Degner Hausen and about the hall Wilhelmshof runs along the watershed of Selke and Wipper.

Up to three kilometers left side arms of the river flow brings about 600 meters through the forest and unite with up to about 2 km long southern spring arms before the titanium creek about 500 meters down river unites with another side arm. This only a few hundred meters long arm rises a few meters from the sources of further downstream which opens a smaller right-side tributary of the Selke. After about 2 km River run of titanium Bach opens on the right side next to Selkemühle, about 38 kilometers to flow, right side in the Selke.

Origin of the name

About the Naming no sources are known. Basically, for any combination of ground and treasure - bach, two options can be considered. Firstly, there is the reduction or content in the water, or the presence of ground water resources in the stream bed of that mineral resource. The other, much more common, the possibility is the color of the water. In the Harz was, however, at no time found titanium or even eliminated.
