Tito Nieves

Humberto "Tito" Nieves ( born June 4, 1958 Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico) is a singer and salsa musicians.

Life

Born in Puerto Rico, Nieves grew up in the United States and began his career as a musician there. Still a teenager, he joined the Orquesta Cimarron, a salsa band from New York, and was soon at their lead singer. At the age of 19 years Nieves joined the band in 1977 by Héctor Lavoe, the Conjunto Clasico. In 1986 Nieves his solo career and was, among other things known for its English-language salsa songs. Among his hits were El amor más bonito, Sonambulo and I like it like that. For his solo albums Nieves was nominated among other twice for a Latin Grammy and a Grammy.
