Titus Aebutius Elva

Titus Aebutius helva was a politician of the early Roman Republic and Consul of the year 499 BC His colleague was Gaius Vetusius. When Dionysius of Halicarnassus and Livy he appears without his cognomen, but that is occupied in the Chronograph of 354, the Continuatio Chronicorum Hieronymianorum of Hydatius of Aquae Flaviae and the Chronicon Paschale. Livy calls him as magister equitum in the year of his consulship, under the dictator Aulus Postumius. He was reportedly wounded in the Battle of Lake Regillus and celebrated a triumph after the fighting ended with Aulus Postumius.
