TL 9000

The TL 9000 ( Telecom Leadership 9000) is a quality standard for telecommunications provider of telecommunications equipment and services. It is based on the ISO 9001 standard, but this adds to more telecom specific requirements. The TL 9000 standard is developed by the QuEST Forum ( Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications ) and managed, this was established by the University of Texas at Dallas. Its members include many leading telecommunication equipment and service providers.

The TL 9000 is divided into two manuals: The Requirements Handbook describes (process) requirements, the associated metrics ( for a systematic measurement of the quality of performance) are in the Measurements Handbook defined.

By 30 June 2006, version 4.0 of the "Requirements Handbook" came into force. Version 3.0 was valid until 1 July 2007 and has since been deprecated. On November 15, 2009, version 5.0 of the "Requirements Handbook" comes into force. Version 4.0 remains valid until November 14, 2010.

The version 4.0 of the "Measurements Handbook" was valid on 31 December 2006.
