Tlalocohyla
Tlalocohyla picta
Tlalocohyla is a genus of the family of tree frogs ( Hylidae ).
Description
The genus is defined by different genetic characteristics. There is as yet no morphological synapomorphy of the taxon known.
Occurrence
The area in which the species occurs which includes tropical lowlands from Mexico to Costa Rica.
System
The genus was Tlalocohyla 2005 Faivovich et al. first described. The name derives from the deity Tlaloc.
