Tleń
Tleń ( German Klinger mill ) is a village in Poland. It is the Kujawsko - Pomerania, in the powiat Święcki, in the municipality Osie at the railway Jezewo - szlachta - Czersk.
Geography
Tleń located on a reservoir of the river Wda ( black water) in the center of Tuchola ( Tuchel Heath ). There is a train station, several rest homes and bungalow parks and an outdoor cinema.
Since about 1415 there have been at the mouth of the river Prusina in the Wda a mill, around which was a settlement called Inschen. Klinger Klinger mill, mill Klinger, Tleń: Later the name changed. Today's local name can be traced back to a species of fish in the carp family: Klen ( Leuciscus cephalus ). In German, the following names are familiar for: chub, Alet, stubborn, chub, Knilps, Milwe, Mülwe, pipe carp.
Since the beginning of the 20th century Tleń is a renowned tourist resort. The majority of the population lives off tourism. A lot of the buildings are holiday homes. All About Tleń extends Wdecki Landscape Park.
In the years 1975-1998 the town administratively belonged to the province of Bydgoszcz.
