Tobias Sammet

Tobias Sammet (born 21 November 1977, in Fulda ) is a German metal vocalist and songwriter. He is the founder and frontman of the power metal band Edguy, initiator of the metal opera Avantasia, one of the musicians in the heavy metal project Final Chapter and the narrator of the metal opera Days of Rising Doom.

Life

Sammet founded in 1992 with school friends, the band Edguy. Under the musical influence - for example, AC / DC, Freddie Mercury and Helloween - was the typical power metal sound of his band, in which he acts mainly as a singer and frontman.

After a few tours and chart positions with Sammet Edguy produced an all-star solo project, resulting in a series of Power Metal Opera Avantasia projects under the name originated.

Sammet was working in his studio projects, for example, along with Alice Cooper, guitarist Rudolf Schenker, with drummer Eric Singer and the singers Jorn Lande, Klaus Meine, Jon Oliva, Rob Rock and Bob Catley of Magnum.
