Tobias Schneider

Tobias Schneider (born 23 July 1981 in Berlin -Schöneberg ) is a German speed skater who specializes in long distance.

Tobias Schneider debuted in February 2004 at the World Cup in Hamar. After some initial successes as two wins in group B of the World Cup over 5,000 meters ( February 2004 in Inzell ) and over 1,500 yards in the season opener 2006/ 07 in Heerenveen, he could first walk into the world top with a seventh place over 5,000 meters. That same month, he was at the next World Cup in Moscow already second in the 10,000 meters and ran it a new German record, but missing a few runners in the world class.

At the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin sports soldier reached the seventh place in the team race with the German men's team. Twice was the launching of the Berlin Schlittschuhclub German champion athlete, another four times runner-up and third once. In 2006 he was elected German speed skater of the year.
