Točník

Tocnik ( German Totschnik, older even Tolznik ) is a Czech village with about 250 inhabitants in the conservation area Krivoklatsko and monumental area of ​​castles beggars and Totschnik. The community is divided by rocks in Předskalí ( Vorfels ) towards the town Žebrák and Záskalí (background rock ) towards Křivoklát.

History

Its history is closely connected with those of the castles. It was settled in the second half of the 13th century. After the fire at the castle beggars, the town was under the reign of Wenceslas IV integrated into the newly created castle.

From the 15th century artificial ponds were created in the area, later, craft shops, a mill, a brewery and two brick plants settled. After the Thirty Years' War developed in the village agriculture and aquaculture, wood and ore mining.
