Todmobile
Todmobile is an Icelandic Pop-/Rock-Band. It was founded in 1988 by Andrea Gylfadóttir (vocals), Eythor Arnalds (vocals and cello ) and Þorvaldur Bjarni Þorvaldsson (vocals, guitar).
History
The first album of Todmobile, Betra s nokkuð Annað, appeared in 1989 and was well received by critics. From simple Todmobile said second album (1990 ) about 8000 copies were sold, which meant the status of a platinum plate in accordance with the then applicable in Iceland criteria. After the fourth, also very successful studio album spillt ( 1993), the band broke up for the time being. 1996 led Andrea and Þorvaldur together with Godi Vilhjálmur instead of Eythor the band but continued and released the album Perlur above Svin. Since then Todmobile has released two more studio albums, a live CD and DVD with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra (2004) and compilations. Since 2003 also the founding member Eythor Arnalds is active again with Todmobile.
