Tolniki Małe

Tolniki Małe ( German Tollnigk ) is a village in Poland in the Warmia - Mazury. It belongs to the municipality Reszel in powiat Kętrzyński. The village forms a mayor's office, to which belong no other villages.

Geography

The village is located in northern Poland, approximately 30 kilometers south of the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Oblast. Reszel is about five kilometers southeast of Tolniki Małe.

History

Today's Tolniki Małe was created in 1338 by Kulm law. In the 18th century the place Tolnig was called, later the name was changed to Tollnigk. End of the 18th century there were 32 residential buildings, 1820 there were 31 houses with 257 inhabitants. 1933 287 1939 counted 270 residents in May. 1945, at the end of the Second World War, the Red Army marched into the area. As a result of the war was Tollnigk Małe Tolniki as part of the People's Republic of Poland. 1955 to 1972 the village was part of the Gromada Reszel, since 1973 it is a mayor's office in the city and rural community Reszel.

Economy and infrastructure

The village Tolniki Małe located at a major road. About side streets are in a northerly direction the Province Road 592 ( droga wojewódzka 592 ) and can be achieved in a southerly direction, the Province Road 594.

The place does not have its own rail connection.

The nearest international airport is Kaliningrad, of about 95 kilometers north-west is located on Russian territory. The nearest international airport on Polish territory is located about 175 kilometers west of Lech Walesa Airport, Gdansk.
