Tom De Mul

De Mul at Ajax

Tom De Mul ( born March 4, 1986 in chapels, Flanders ) is a Belgian footballer. He plays mainly on the position of the right side striker, with his former club Ajax Amsterdam but was frequently used in the midfield. By 2012, De Mul stood at FC Sevilla under contract.

Career

At the age of 15 years joined Tom De Mul Germinal Beerschot Antwerp to the youth of Ajax Amsterdam. There he managed two years later in the season 2003/ 04 the leap into the professional squad. His debut was at Ajax De Mul on January 25, 2004 in the 1-0 victory for Ajax at home to NEC Nijmegen. His first goal for Ajax he scored on 15 August 2004 at the guest performance at Twente Enschede. During this time he came to 6 inserts and 1 goal.

In the season 2005/ 06 De Mul moved on loan to Vitesse Arnhem where he scored 2 goals in 27 games. During his time at Vitesse he wore the jersey number 6

2006/ 07 played De Mul again at Ajax and came to 28 inserts, 4 goals and 8 assists. He also came in the UEFA Cup so far on 7 inserts. This season, he was promoted to the Belgian national team and played two matches in qualifying for Euro 2008.

For the season 2007/ 08 joined De Mul for 4 million euros for Spanish side FC Sevilla; He signed a 5 year contract there. For the 2008/ 09 season he was loaned from FC Sevilla at the Belgian club KRC Genk, with whom he won the Belgian Cup. The following season, he returned to Seville, but was only used once in the Spanish Cup. Also another change on loan to his home, this time to Standard Liege, in the season 2010/11 did not yield any further operations. After his contract expires in Seville to the end of the season 2011/12 he found no new club and has been without a club.
