Tom Pederson

Thomas S. Pederson ( born January 14, 1970 in Bloomington, Minnesota ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the San Jose Sharks and Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League and the Hannover Scorpions in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.

Career

Pederson played with three years from 1988 to 1991 at the University of Minnesota in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and proved there as offensively as defensively - gifted defender. After his first year of college, the Minnesota North Stars had him selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1989 in the eleventh round at 217th position.

Pederson left the Maple Leafs franchise in summer 1998 and moved to Europe, where it ran aground off the DEL for the seasons 1998/99 and 1999/ 00 for the Hannover Scorpions. In the summer of 2000, he ended his active career.
