TomeRaider

TomeRaider [ ˌ toʊm ɹeɪdəɹ ] is a text database browser for handheld devices ( PDAs) and Windows. TomeRaider allows large files, such as encyclopedias or thick books to display on PDAs. The manufacturer emphasizes especially the speed of its product.

From TomeRaider there is a free trial version on the manufacturing side with versions for Pocket PC, Palm OS and EPOC / Symbian_OS handhelds and MS Windows ( Windows 2000). In addition TomeRaider is available for Android since 2010.

Many TomeRaider e-books can be downloaded free from the Web. Since November 2009 Mat Ripley has released a code generator for TomeRaider for all platforms from the TomeRaider team. TomeRaider can be obtained only with costs starting from version 3.3.9.

Since version 3, which is available since October 2004, and images can be displayed. HTML tags such as tables and color are currently supported only for the Pocket PC version. However, without registration it is only very limited usable ( crippleware ), since every fifth document is not displayed.

TomeRaider format

In this TR- format e -books are written. These can then ( text database browser for handheld devices such as PDAs ) can be viewed with the TomeRaider software. E -books in TomeRaider format suitable especially when it comes to large reference works, such as encyclopedias and dictionaries.
