Tommy Archer

Tommy Archer ( born November 16, 1954 in Duluth, Minnesota) is an American race car driver.

Tommy Archer came as a racer first appearance in 1975, when he unsuccessfully tried on a Datsun 510 to qualify for the 12 - hour race at Sebring. He had his first international race in 1987, when he was on a Chevrolet Camaro in the 24- hour race at Daytona at the start. Twelve years between these two races he went ice racing in the U.S., winning seven national championships. Beginning of the 1980s he also began increasingly to deny sports car racing. He was active in the American SCCA Sports Car Championship and the American Le Mans Series.

In 1997, he came as a works driver ORECA to Europe to compete in the FIA GT Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In four Le Mans start, the two twelfth grades were in the overall standings in 1999 and 2000 showed the best results. Five times Archer was in the 1990s in the Camping World Truck Series at the start and was in recent years sports car racing in North America.
